The co-curriuclar activities for the academic session 2011 - 12 was inaugurated on 24 June, 2011 by Sri. Berny, renowned Music Director. The Annual Inter House Rev. Dr. Francis Kannikal Debate Competition was held after the Inugural function. Topic : EARN WHILE YOU LEARN . DTM Jose, of Toast Master's International was one of the Judges.

| Investiture Ceremony - Student Office bearers sworn in |
Investiture Ceremony was held during an auspicious and grand ceremony on 17th of June 2011. The Vicar General of the archdiocese of Verapoly, Very Rev. Msgr. Alex Vadukamthala presided over the function.

Assisi Talent Fest for the year 2011 -12 begins on Saturday, 16 July. For more details see the Notice Board.

The Leadership Training Programme for students is scheduled to begin in the school from 18 July onwards. All are welcome to join.

| Inter School Shuttle Badminton Tournament |
The 8th Archbishop Joseph Attipetty Inter-School Shuttle Badminton Tournament was conducted on 4th & 5th August. The Tournament was inaugurated by Sri. Cochin Mansur and 22 schools participated. The Valedictory function held was held on 5th August. Prizes were given away by Cine Artiste, Sri. Kailash. Toc-H School, Vytilla won the Rollers Trophy and the Assisi team were Runners' Up.

| Cyber Crime Awareness Class conducted |
Mr. Francis Periera, the SI of Cyber Cell, Kochi, conducted a class for the students of Classes XI & XII on Cyber Crime Awareness. He made the students aware of the luking dangers when they interact without caution and discreetion in a virtual world. The class was inter active and of great interest to the students.

| Founder Patron of Assisi passes away |
His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Cornelius Elenjickal the Founder Patron of Assisi, Kakkanad, passed away at Lourdes Hospital at 7:30 a.m. on 6 August, 2011. The School remained closed as a mark of respect to the departed soul on Tuesday, 9 August, 201, when his body was laid to rest at St. Francis Assisi Cathedral.
He was always deeply concerned about the development and progress of the Institution. We shall deeply miss his benign patronage.

| Independence Day Celebration |
Independence Day 2011 was celebrated on 13th August. Class VII Teachers and Students organized the programme, with prayers, speeches, patriotic songs, dance and tableau. Happy Independence Day to all !
Flag Hoisting Ceremony will be conducted at 9 a.m. on 15th August. The Director, Rev. Fr. Johnson will hoist the flag.

| Onam & Teachers' Day Celebration |
Onam was celebrated in all traditional grandeur at Assisi on 7 September. The celebrations included a lot of traditional song, dance and competitions. Maveli visited on the occasion. Teachers' Day was also celebrated on the same day and teachers were given fitting tributres.
The highlight of the day was further in the evening when the students of the Assisi Socio Span and some of the teachers wnet to Murrikkapadam (Vypeen Island) and distributed Onam Kits worth Rs. 500/- each to some 35 poor families there. These kits had been prepared with donations from the staff and students.

The First Summative Exam for Classes VI - X is scehduled to begin on 22 September, 2011 and will be completed by 30 September, 2011. BEST OF LUCK TO THE STUDENTS !

| SCHOOL DAY & PATRON'S FEAST CELEBRATED |
The Feast of the School's Patron Saint, St. Francis of Assisi was celebrated on 4 October, 2011. Prayers were held; hymns were sung and a skit showing the Life Mission of the Saint including a message to all the students to Love Nature and Animals was conducted on that day. The day also happened to be the Feast Day of the School's Patron, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Francis Kallarackal, Archbishop of Verapoly.
